As a writer, artist and practitioner of the healing arts I invite you to participate in a unique healing experience offered through “healing conversations” on my blog.
I have more than 25 years of nursing experience across the life span. After obtaining a Bachelor of Science from Seattle Pacific University I worked as a maternal-child nurse. Subsequently I worked in family medicine, geriatrics, psychiatric care and more recently as a hospice nurse. In 2013 I completed a doctorate degree from the California Institute of Integral Studies in Philosophy & Religion with a specialization women's spirituality and a particular focus on women's mysteries, sacred arts, and healing. Over the course of my career I've received training in Therapeutic Touch and Reiki.
Over the course of my life I've come to understand the multiple injustices that plague Western culture including economic, racial, and gender inequalities. I've witnessed the shortcomings of our modern health care system and the negative outcomes that are a result of the medical-industrial complex and big pharma.
I embrace an integrative approach to well-being that encompasses holistic practices and lifestyle choices that support overall health and well-being. When we eat whole foods, exercise, get outdoors, engage with nature and creativity, develop healthy relationships and nurture our whole selves we can make a positive difference in our lives.
